I received my formal training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition with Advanced Certification. Prior to IIN, I spent more than 10 years gaining hands-on experience coaching my circle of friends (and their friends) toward their own working definition of practical “self-care”.
My training equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Combining these skills and existing self-gained knowledge of dietary theories and alternative health, I’ve recently narrowed my focus primarily on professional and creative men over 35 living and working in densely populated areas.
My “first person” understanding of the particular set of social, historical and cultural challenges successful, gay men of color face positions me as a perceptive, relatable guide who can foster positive health and lifestyle improvements for this underserved demographic that produce real and lasting results.
Not only do my former clients look and feel better in all parts of their lives, they also know exactly what to do when they inevitably get off track.
And since we all get off track from time to time, why not gain a clear understanding of how your body works in order to cut through all the confusing chatter in modern nutrition and take the same simple steps that always work for you, every time?
I’ve also completed additional Continuing Education Units (“CEUs”) from Purchase College, State University of New York and am an active Member in good standing with the International Association of Health Coaches.
